Matheson's directory of 1867-8 does not list the Gearys in Lowestoft, the owner of 138 High Street was then a George Corbyn, Clothier. Similarly, T. Huke's directory of 1892 shows that by 1892, 136,137 and 138 High Street were owned by E.F.Crake (Musson A.) Watchmaker, Silversmith and Dealer in Fancy Goods, and by this time 138 High St. had acquired the name Geneva House.
